Roll for Theta 61: You find a derelict cruiser class ship, floating amongst amongst a moderate sized debris field.
It's looks to have been damaged long ago. Your scanners pick up up two weapon systems and a thin layer of armor. Maybe information is held in the computer?
Techs present: Fusion Cannon, Quark Cannon, light armor, cruiser.
Debris field amount if cleared: 200 metal, 209 credits.
Roll for Theta 65: You find a large space amoeba. It begins to charge your ships. Roll 5 CMD rolls. You are ambushed!

Roll for Zeta 32 for Blueman: You find a capital shipyard lvl 2. If you spend 10 metal and 50 credits you think you can get it operational again.

The Amoeba engulfs one of your Gunships, dissolving it in seconds. The rest of your ships begin to open fire, scattering and circling it. It begins to shoot out its digestive acid, catching a few fighters, dissolving them effectively. After a few minutes of fire, the Amoeba flies away rapidly.

Your sensors pick up what appears to be a medium sized planet. But an Asteroid field stands between your position and the planet. Large magnetic disturbances and faint biological readings emanate from the field. You cannot get to the planet without crossing the field.

As soon as you enter the field your sensors are thrown off by the magnetic disturbances. False readings and anomalies stop you from seeing what is really going on.
Swarms of these come at your ships from every angle. Ships not directly looking at them are taken completely by surprise and are attacked. You are Ambushed!!!!

Alarms, screams, and armor sizzling are sounds heard as these asteroid creatures attack your expedition force. Your fighters, with their weak defenses, drop like flies,. The ones that do manage to survive and fire their missiles, find the magnetic force being radiated by these creatures affect the targeting systems of the missiles. Some find their mark, others hit your capital ships, inflicting moderate casualties. The head of the expedition orders a full retreat, all remaining ships fall back away from the asteroid field. Oddly enough, once all of your ships leave, the creatures halt their attack, burrowing back into their asteroid homes.

Scavenging Debris field in Theta 61- You successfully scavenge the field, but do not find any unknown tech. You recieve 200 Metal and 200 credits.
Further Exploration of Theta 61- After ripping data from the onboard computer, you manage to gather that this ship fled from a battle with the Vakuu. You can also gather that this ship was heavily outmatched and the rest of its fleet were atomized. You also find the battle telemetry from its last battle, giving you intimate knowledge about your home system.
PERMANENT MODIFIER: +1 CMO, +1 CMD when fighting in Theta-61
reverse engineering the Cruiser tech:
Fusion Cannon- 300 R towards research cost
Quark Cannon- Tech unlocked on turn 3
light armor- 350 R towards Research cost
cruiser-ship is too damaged to get any research from it.
